Steady Hands

We are all climbing an uphill battle, some of our battles may seem more like mountains... but nonetheless we’re battling.
Today during my quiet time I came across this:
Joshua did what Moses ordered in order to fight Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning. But Moses’ hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down. Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle.
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭17:10-13‬ ‭MSG‬‬
We know that God is there to help us fight every battle, but sometimes (or maybe often!) we grow weary. Sometimes we are just not strong enough to continue on in worship. God recognizes this in this passage. We may need to call on other believers to help raise our hands, to continue on in that position of worship- because we’re tired. We need to be reminded that Christ is the solid rock on which we stand (or sit ๐Ÿ˜‰). Battles always require worship, but sometimes we need to call on the help of our brothers and sisters in Christ to help us raise our hands, and it’s ok to admit that you need help!
